The 2012-13 Undergraduate Research Scholars Awards recipients discussed their proposed projects and what they expect to discover over the next year on May 2.

Jessica Burgh ’12 is the first child of a Rider graduate who also happens to be a faculty member to earn a degree from the institution. Her father, Dr. Richard Burgh ’68, is a professor of Philosophy.

Like springtime, opportunity is in the air at Rider, with Environmental Science and Journalism dual major Katelyn White ’14 landing a summer internship with Climate Central, a climate research organization that publishes peer-reviewed research about climate science.

Sisters Anam Khan ’12 and Iram Khan ’12 found that Rider’s Accounting program catered to their very diverse interests and career goals.

Rider was recognized for leading the way toward more effective teacher preparation, at the inaugural Showcase of Exemplary Practices: Excellence in Teacher Preparation on April 20 in Princeton, N.J.
